Illiku Surf is located on the north coast of Saaremaa, Estonia's largest island. The spot sits on the Väike Väin strait, between Saaremaa and the mainland, offering sheltered and shallow waters.
The bottom is sandy and muddy, and the water remains shallow over a large distance. It is an excellent spot for learning kitesurfing. South to west winds are most favourable.
Saaremaa is accessible by ferry from Virtsu or by road via the Muhu causeway. The island is renowned for its preserved nature and traditional windmills. The season runs from May to October.
