Pärnu is Estonia's summer capital and one of the country's most popular kitesurfing spots. Pärnu Beach, located at the head of Pärnu Bay, offers ideal conditions for beginners and intermediates thanks to its shallow waters extending several hundred metres from shore.
The bottom is sandy and the water remains shallow far from the shoreline, making it a very safe spot. Pärnu Bay faces south-west, perfectly catching the south to west winds that are most common in summer.
The kitesurf season runs from May to October. In summer, water temperatures can reach 20-22°C. The spot is easily accessible with numerous amenities nearby (restaurants, accommodation, gear rental).
