The waters are shallow with a sandy bottom. The bay provides natural wave protection, creating flat water conditions. West to north-west winds are most favourable.

Lohusalu is a quiet and natural spot, appreciated for its peaceful setting. Access is easy with nearby parking. The season runs from May to October.
