Kakumäe is a kitesurfing spot located on the peninsula of the same name, west of Tallinn. It is one of the most popular spots in the Tallinn area thanks to its good exposure to west and north-west winds.

The spot sits in a shallow bay with a sandy bottom. The water remains shallow for a good distance, which is reassuring for riders. West to north-west winds blow side-shore to side-onshore.

Kakumäe is easily accessible from Tallinn (about 15 minutes by car from the centre). Parking is available near the beach. The season runs from May to October. The spot suits beginners and intermediates.
