Overview

Woolacombe is one of the finest surf beaches in North Devon, with 5 km of golden sand facing northwest towards the Atlantic. The spot fully receives Atlantic swells and westerly winds. Spectacular setting between the hills of Morte Point and Baggy Point.

Several paid car parks in the village and on top of the cliffs. Very busy in summer. Beach access via footpaths and ramps.
Hazards
Powerful Atlantic swell. Strong rip currents. Rocks at both ends of the beach. Very busy area with surfers and swimmers in summer — cohabitation required.
