Overview

Bantham Beach is a surf and kite spot in South Devon, at the mouth of the River Avon. The sandy beach is framed by cliffs and offers great conditions with westerly swells. A relatively preserved spot with a beautiful natural setting. Works well with southwest cross-shore wind.

Hazards
Strong currents at the mouth of the River Avon, especially on the outgoing tide. Rocks at low tide. Powerful waves in large swells.
