Promenthoux is a kitesurf spot on the north shore of Lake Geneva, in the canton of Vaud. It is mainly rideable in south-west wind (the prevailing afternoon wind in summer) and offers good exposure to thermal winds. The spot is on a small promontory jutting into the lake, which provides relatively clear wind. Kitesurfing is permitted from April 1st to September 30th on Lake Geneva.
