Westende is a kitesurf spot at Westende-Bad (West Flanders), between Middelkerke and Nieuwpoort. Wide sandy beach with North Sea conditions. Best winds SW/WSW/W/WNW/NW — the dominant onshore sea breeze directions.
Offshore wind (E/SE) forbidden on the entire Belgian coast. Large tidal range. Westende is a quieter resort than Middelkerke or Oostende — relatively uncrowded outside peak summer.
