De Panne is the westernmost kitesurf spot on the Belgian coast (West Flanders), at the French border. The beach is extremely wide at low tide — one of the widest in Belgium — providing a large rigging area. A weather station (De Panne) is linked to this spot.

Dominant winds from SW/W/NW (onshore) and N/NE (oblique onshore). Kitesurfing is forbidden in offshore wind (E/SE) on the entire Belgian coast. Large tidal range — the beach narrows significantly at high tide. Close to the Cabour dunes nature reserve — respect designated zones.
