Excellent kite spot on the Belgian coast. In front of the Windhaan kite/sailing club (with small food service open to non-club members). Boat safety provided if necessary.
Beautiful spot, with a view of the dunes on the right side of the spot.
Be careful with tides, 1 hour 30 minutes before high tide the current can be strong, and pushes toward Holland (right side of the spot).
Caution, along the entire Belgian coast, kiteboarding is forbidden when the wind is offshore. Kiters generally go to the Netherlands (Zeeland) in these conditions.
Free parking (yes!) behind the spot. Street parallel to the beach. Easy to find a space except on rare days of great weather...
Hazards
There are no obstacles in the water (no breakwaters unlike many other spots on the Belgian coast like Knokke). Just be careful at low tide on the right side of the spot, there is a pole in the water.
