Podersdorf Haupt Strand is the main and most popular spot on Neusiedlersee (Lake Neusiedl), the largest steppe lake in Central Europe. The lake is very shallow (average depth 1.5 m), making it ideal for beginners and intermediates. The prevailing winds come from the north-west and south-east, blowing freely across the Pannonian Plain without obstacles. Podersdorf is the capital of Austrian kitesurfing with complete infrastructure: schools, shops, and a large launch beach.
