Mattsee is a small lake in the Salzkammergut region, north of Salzburg. It is about 3.5 km long and offers thermal wind conditions in summer. The lake is relatively shallow and surrounded by gentle hills. It is a local spot for kitesurfing and wingfoiling, suited for intermediate riders.
