West Beach is a kitesurf spot located in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia. This tropical spot offers chop conditions in the warm waters of the Timor Sea. Darwin has a tropical climate with a dry season (May-October) and a wet season (November-April). East and southeast winds dominate during the dry season (May to October), which is the best period for kitesurfing. Watch out for saltwater crocodiles and box jellyfish during the wet season. The spot is suited to intermediates. Tides are very significant in Darwin (up to 8 metres of tidal range).
