Leschenault Estuary at Australind is a kitesurfing spot located near Bunbury in Western Australia. This estuary offers a vast flat and shallow body of water, ideal for freeriding, freestyle and learning to kitesurf. It is one of the best flat water spots in the Bunbury area. The prevailing south to southwest winds, the "Fremantle Doctor", blow consistently over the estuary in summer. The water surface is protected from ocean waves, offering perfect flat water conditions. The water is shallow, allowing you to stand almost everywhere. Access is from Australind with parking by the estuary. Beware of mangrove areas and sandbars. Please respect the environmental protection zones of the estuary.
