Largs Bay is a kitesurfing spot located on the north coast of Adelaide in South Australia, in the Gulf St Vincent. It is a popular urban spot easily accessible from Adelaide's city centre. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest in summer (thermal sea breeze), blowing cross-shore. Conditions in the gulf are relatively calm with little swell and shallow water. The bottom is sandy. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for beginners and intermediate riders. Parking, showers and amenities are available. The Largs Bay area is lively with restaurants and cafes nearby.
