Lake Connewarre at Brinsmead Lane is a brackish water kitesurfing spot located near Geelong in Victoria. This coastal lake is part of the Bellarine Peninsula wetland system and offers excellent flat water conditions for freestyle and learning. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest to west in summer. The lake offers perfect flat water conditions with no swell or significant current. The water is shallow with a muddy to sandy bottom. It is one of the best flat water spots in the Geelong area. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for beginners thanks to the calm conditions. The water is cold, a wetsuit is required. Access via Brinsmead Lane. The lake is a protected bird habitat, please respect the environment.
