Kirra is a kitesurfing spot located on the Gold Coast in southern Queensland. Kirra is world-famous for its perfect barrels in surfing, and also offers interesting kitesurfing conditions in NNW cross-onshore winds. The spot works mainly in the morning during early summer with NNW winds before the NE sea breeze kicks in. Waves are rarely overhead, but the beach is wide with few people on the water. Suitable for advanced riders. Beware of the very busy surf zone.
