Kalbarri is a kitesurfing destination located on the Batavia Coast in Western Australia, about 6 hours north of Perth. The town sits at the mouth of the Murchison River and offers several kite spots in the area, including Chinamans Beach which works in southeast winds. Thermal south winds blow stronger than in Perth as you head up the Coral Coast. The main season runs from October to March with consistent winds of 20 to 30 knots. Kalbarri is surrounded by the spectacular national park with its gorges and the famous Nature's Window. Beware of powerful ocean conditions and reef.
