Jurien Bay is a kitesurfing spot located on the mid-west coast of Western Australia, about 250 km north of Perth. This bay, sheltered by offshore islands and reefs, offers a flat and turquoise water surface, ideal for kitesurfing at all levels. It is one of the most popular spots on the coast between Perth and Geraldton. The prevailing south to southwest winds blow consistently and powerfully in summer, with the "Fremantle Doctor" moving up the coast. The sheltered bay creates exceptional flat water conditions, while the outside of the reefs offers waves for more experienced riders. The kite season runs from October to April. Jurien Bay is a small town with full services (accommodation, restaurants, shops). Parking is easy. Beware of coral reefs in the bay and fishing zones. The bay is home to sea lions that can be spotted from the water.
