Fourmile Beach is a kitesurfing spot located in Port Douglas, in northern Queensland. This long sandy beach is the main kitesurfing spot in Port Douglas, offering exceptional tropical conditions with views of the rainforest and the Coral Sea. The spot works with the southeast trade winds from May to November, with regular winds of 15-25 knots. The beach is long and open, offering plenty of space. At low tide, sandbars create flat water areas. Suitable for intermediate to advanced riders. Watch out for jellyfish (stingers) from November to May - full wetsuit recommended. Saltwater crocodiles present in the area. Port Douglas offers many amenities, restaurants and accommodation. An ideal spot to combine kitesurfing with a visit to the Great Barrier Reef.
