Dripstone Cliffs is a kitesurf spot located in Darwin, in the Northern Territory, adjacent to Casuarina Beach. The spot takes its name from the eroded sandstone cliffs that border this section of coast. It is one of Darwin's best-known kitesurf spots. The prevailing wind follows a tropical monsoon pattern: southeast trade winds during the dry season (May to October) and northwest winds during the wet season. Wind conditions are best during the dry season. Tides in Darwin are very significant (up to 8 metres of tidal range), which radically changes sailing conditions. The best season is the dry season (May to October). The water is warm year-round. WARNING: risks from saltwater crocodiles and box jellyfish during the wet season. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders. Parking available above the cliffs.
