Denham Lookout

Denham Lookout

Overview

Denham Lookout is a kitesurf spot located in Denham, the westernmost town in Australia, in the heart of the Shark Bay region of Western Australia. This spot offers easy access to the water from the town, with light to moderate chop conditions in the sheltered bay waters. Thermal winds from the south and southeast blow very reliably from September to April, with intensities of 15 to 30 knots. The water is warm and crystal clear. The spot is suited to intermediate and advanced riders. Denham has all services: accommodation, restaurants, petrol station and supermarket. The Shark Bay region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From Denham, you can easily access Big Lagoon and Little Lagoon in Francois Peron National Park (4WD required), as well as the famous Hamelin Pool stromatolites and the Monkey Mia dolphins. The Shark Bay Kitesurfing school offers lessons and equipment rentals.
