Spot de Denham

Denham

Denham

Overview

Denham is a kitesurf spot located in Shark Bay, Western Australia. Denham is the westernmost town in Australia and sits within the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, known for its dolphins, dugongs and stromatolites. The bay's body of water is vast, shallow and flat, offering ideal conditions for kitesurfing. The prevailing south to southeast winds blow regularly during the dry season. The bay offers a sheltered body of water with shallow turquoise waters, perfect for freeride and learning. The kite season runs mainly from October to March with thermal breezes. Denham has basic services (accommodation, groceries). Parking is available beachfront. Watch out for sharks in the bay (Shark Bay lives up to its name) and marine protection zones. Respect the stromatolite conservation areas.
