Currumbin Creek is a popular kitesurf spot located on the Gold Coast, in southern Queensland. This spot offers both flat water in the creek and waves at the mouth, making it a very versatile spot for experienced riders. The spot works with NW, N and NE winds for flat water. In late summer, cyclones bring 25-30 knot winds and swell for spectacular wave riding at Currumbin Point (The Alley). Warning: this is NOT a spot for beginners due to limited space, strong currents, stone walls and the bridge downwind. Currumbin is a must-ride spot on the Gold Coast for advanced and expert riders.
