Casuarina Surf Club is a kitesurf spot located in Darwin, in the Northern Territory of Australia. The spot is on Casuarina Beach, one of Darwin's most popular beaches, within the Casuarina Coastal Reserve. It is a tropical spot with well-defined seasonal wind conditions. The prevailing wind follows a monsoon pattern: the southeast trade winds blow reliably during the dry season (May to October), offering the best conditions for kitesurfing. The wet season (November to April) brings more unstable northwest winds with tropical storms. Waves are generally small in this sheltered bay. The best season for kitesurfing is the dry season (May to October) with the SE trade winds. The water is warm year-round (26-30°C). WARNING: swimming and kitesurfing in Darwin carry risks from saltwater crocodiles and box jellyfish during the wet season. Check local safety conditions. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders.
