Bluff Reef is a kitesurf spot located on the northwest coast of Tasmania, Australia. This reef spot offers quality wave conditions in the waters of Bass Strait, exposed to Southern Ocean swells. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest to west in summer. The reef creates well-shaped waves suited for wave riding. The bottom is rocky (reef), requiring good knowledge of the spot. Currents can be strong around the reef. The spot is reserved for advanced and expert riders due to the reef and wave conditions. The water is cold year-round (14-18°C), a thick wetsuit is required. Riding with a buddy is recommended.
