Balnarring Beach is a kitesurf spot located on the east coast of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, on Western Port Bay. This sheltered bay offers interesting flat water conditions for kitesurfing. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest to west in summer. Western Port Bay offers relatively calm and sheltered conditions. The water is shallow with significant tidal flats at low tide. The bottom is sandy to muddy. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for beginners and intermediates thanks to the calm bay conditions. The water is cold, thick wetsuit required. Watch out for large tidal variations. Parking available.
