Anglesea is a kitesurf spot located on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. This seaside town is the gateway to the famous coastal road and offers quality surf and kitesurf conditions on its main beach facing south. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest to west in summer. Waves are consistent and of good quality with Southern Ocean swell. The bottom is sandy. The beach is patrolled in summer. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders. The water is cold (14-18°C), thick wetsuit required. Anglesea has all tourist amenities. Watch out for surfers with whom the spot is shared.
