13th Beach is a renowned kitesurf spot located near Barwon Heads in Victoria, southwest of Melbourne. It is one of the most popular and well-known kitesurf spots in Victoria, valued for its quality waves and reliable wind conditions. The spot takes its name from the thirteenth hole of the adjacent golf course. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest to west in summer, blowing cross-shore to cross-onshore on this beach exposed to the Southern Ocean. Waves are consistent and of good quality for wave riding, averaging 1 to 2 meters. The bottom is sandy and the beach is long. The best season is from November to March with thermal sea breezes. The spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders due to the waves and currents. The water is cold (14-18°C), 4/3 wetsuit minimum. It is an iconic Victorian kitesurf spot with an active community. Parking available at the top of the cliff.
