Punta Arenas is a kitesurf spot located at the western tip of Margarita Island, in the state of Nueva Esparta, Venezuela. This spot offers a long strip of sand with shallow waters. The northeast trade winds blow sideshore at this spot, between 15 and 25 knots from December to May. The water is relatively flat thanks to the protection offered by the point, with interesting flat water areas. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders. It is a good alternative to El Yaque when it gets too crowded.
