Playa Parguito is a surf and kitesurf spot located on the northeast coast of Margarita Island, in the state of Nueva Esparta, Venezuela. It is the most renowned surf spot on the island. The northeast trade winds blow directly onshore, between 15 and 25 knots from December to May. The waves are consistent and can be powerful, making it an excellent kite-wave spot. The spot is reserved for expert riders due to the powerful waves, shore break and currents. Kitesurfing is less practiced here than traditional surfing.
