La Carmela is a kitesurf spot located on the northwest coast of Margarita Island, in the state of Nueva Esparta, Venezuela. This spot offers different conditions from the south coast (El Yaque), with more direct exposure to the trade winds. The northeast trade winds blow between 15 and 25 knots, mainly from December to May. The spot is exposed to Atlantic/Caribbean waves, offering interesting kite-wave conditions. The spot is suitable for advanced riders due to the waves and current. The beach is relatively isolated.
