Laguna Garzón is one of Uruguay's most renowned kitesurfing spots, located in the Maldonado department near José Ignacio. This coastal lagoon offers exceptional flat water conditions, ideal for freestyle and learning.

Thermal south wind blows mainly in the afternoon, averaging 14-16 knots, 7 out of 10 days. Water is shallow and flat, perfect for progression. The season runs from October to March, with best conditions in summer (December-February).

The spot is easily accessible and offers a beautiful natural setting between the lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. The famous circular bridge of Laguna Garzón is an iconic landmark. Recommended kite sizes are between 9-12 m².
