Punta Sal is a tourist beach located in the Tumbes region, in the far north of Peru, near the Ecuadorian border. It is one of the warmest beaches in Peru. The south wind blows in the afternoon between 10 and 18 knots from March to December. Conditions are generally moderate, with warm water year-round (25-28°C). The spot is suitable for beginner to intermediate riders. Tourist infrastructure is well developed with many hotels and restaurants.
