Pico Alto is a big wave surf spot located south of Lima, in the Punta Hermosa district of Peru. It is one of the most powerful waves in Peru, capable of reaching 10 meters. The south wind blows in the afternoon between 12 and 20 knots from May to December. The spot is primarily a big wave surf spot, unsuitable for kitesurfing in most conditions. The spot is reserved for absolute expert riders. Conditions can be extremely dangerous.
