Makaha is a surf spot located in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru. It is one of the most popular surf spots in the Peruvian capital, with a right-hand wave over rocky bottom. The south wind blows in the afternoon between 10 and 18 knots from May to December. Kitesurfing is rarely practiced here due to limited space and heavy surfer crowds. The spot is reserved for expert riders due to the rocky bottom, waves and cohabitation with surfers. The water is cool (15-19°C).
