Barbasquillo is a beach located near Manta, in the Manabí province of Ecuador. This spot is more surf-oriented, but kitesurfing is also practiced when wind conditions allow. The prevailing winds blow from the southwest during the dry season (May to December), with variable intensities of 12 to 18 knots. The beach is exposed to Pacific waves, making it a spot better suited to riders with wave experience. The spot is easily accessible from Manta. Watch out for rocks on some parts of the beach.
