Río Copiapó is a kitesurfing spot located at the mouth of the Copiapó River, in the Atacama region of Chile. The spot offers interesting conditions at the junction between the river and the ocean. The south to southwest wind blows in the afternoon between 15 and 22 knots from September to March. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders. Watch out for currents at the river mouth.
