Pucón is a kitesurfing spot on Lake Villarrica, in the Araucanía region of Chile. This lake at the foot of the Villarrica volcano offers flat water conditions in a spectacular mountain setting. The thermal wind blows in the afternoon between 12 and 20 knots from November to February. The lake offers perfect flat water for kitesurfing and foiling. The spot is suitable for beginners thanks to the flat water. The lake water is warmer than the ocean in summer (18-22°C). Pucón is a major tourist destination with good infrastructure.
