Las Machas is a kitesurfing spot located in Arica, at the far north of Chile, in the Arica y Parinacota region. This spot offers a sandy beach with regular windy conditions. Wind from the south to southwest sector blows in the afternoon between 15 and 22 knots, mainly from September to March. The thermal sea breeze strengthens the wind around midday. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders. The water is warmer than in central Chile (18-22°C) thanks to the tropical latitude.
