São Conrado is an iconic beach in Rio de Janeiro, famous for being the landing point for hang gliders and paragliders. The ocean spot is framed by the hills and receives NE and SW winds. The beach is urban and busy. Wind can be disrupted by the surrounding terrain (Pedra da Gávea, Dois Irmãos). Kitesurfing is limited here due to sharing with other activities.
