Macumba is a beach located in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood, in western Rio de Janeiro. This ocean spot is popular among carioca kitesurfers and surfers for its waves and NE and SW winds. The thermal NE wind blows side-shore in the afternoon. SW entries from cold fronts also bring strong wind with powerful swells. Suited for intermediate riders.
