The Pantschau is not, as one might think, an ideal starting point. Wind conditions are quite unpredictable near the shore. The spot is therefore recommended for very good kitesurfers only.
The official "LOCAL RULES"
- The Pantschau as a starting point for kitesurfing is closed from June 1 to September 15.
- Lake access (entry and exit) is tricky: you have to go through the large rock blocks that form the shore.
- Appropriate wind directions for kitesurfing are west to south/west and north/east winds. Other winds are almost impractical, even dangerous.
- Essential condition: being able to go upwind.
- The areas defined for preparation, storage, launching and landing of the kite must be respected.
- The 30 meters after entering the water and before exiting the water must be traveled by Bodydrag.
- Apart from the indicated departure and exit points, there are no other authorized locations.
- On the Pantschau, many leisure activities are practiced. You must therefore interact with other shore and lake users with respect.
- Gather the lines and stack the kites on the beach.
And then...
For coexistence to last over time: Please respect the "LOCAL RULES" and don't forget the rules of conduct as a kitesurfer (safety distance on land and on water, self-rescue procedure, etc.)!!!
