Monte Alto is a spot on the Lagoa de Araruama, near Arraial do Cabo, in the Região dos Lagos of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The lagoon's body of water is flat and shallow, ideal for learning. NE and SW winds blow regularly on the lagoon. The shallow depth and absence of current make it a safe spot for beginners and foiling.
