Overview

Arubinha (Ponta da Acaíra) is a spot on the Lagoa de Araruama, in the Região dos Lagos of the state of Rio de Janeiro. This point of the lagoon offers a flat body of water with regular and sustained NE winds. The hypersaline lagoon is shallow and allows safe sailing. The NE wind is strengthened by the Venturi effect between the hills. Ideal for beginners and flat water foiling.
