Atalaia is a beach located on Ilha do Atalaia, near Salinopolis, on the coast of Para. It is one of the most well-known kitesurfing spots in the Amazonian region, with constant east winds. The spot is oceanic with strong tides that create sandbars exposed at low tide. The windy season runs from July to December. Suited to intermediate riders.
