Barra da Tijuca - Kite Point (Praia do Pepe) is the most iconic kitesurfing spot in Rio de Janeiro. Located on the long urban beach of Barra da Tijuca, it is the meeting point for the carioca kite community. The NE wind blows side-shore and strengthens in the afternoon thanks to the thermal effect. SW entries linked to cold fronts also provide good sessions. An accessible and lively urban spot.
