Quilmes is a kitesurfing spot located on the shores of the Rio de la Plata, in the southern suburbs of Buenos Aires. This estuarine body of water offers accessible sailing conditions with regular winds from the southeast (Sudestada) and north sectors. The water is shallow and brown, typical of the Rio de la Plata estuary. The spot is frequented by local kitesurfers from the Buenos Aires metropolitan area looking for quick water access.
