Cholla Bay is a sheltered bay near Puerto Peñasco in Sonora, on the Gulf of California. Northwest winds blow regularly, creating pleasant flat water conditions for foiling and freeriding. The significant tides of the northern Gulf greatly influence the water, with vast sand areas uncovered at low tide.
