Kitesurf spot at Baie de Beauport, on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River in Quebec City. This is THE reference urban spot of Quebec's capital, with a developed beach, full services and easy access. The bay faces southeast with good fetch across the river. The site is managed as an outdoor recreation base with equipment rental and sailing school. Spectacular views of Château Frontenac, Old Quebec and the Île d'Orléans bridge. Very popular spot in summer.

St. Lawrence River at Quebec City, transition zone to the estuary. 3-4m tides. Fresh to brackish water, cold (12-16°C in summer). Moderate chop in NE wind (along the river). Sandy bottom, shallow in the bay. The bay offers a protected area ideal for learning. Shared navigation with sailboats and kayaks.
Very busy navigation zone — sailboats, kayaks, cruise ships. St. Lawrence River current. Commercial shipping channel (cruise ships, cargo ships). Tides changing the water area. Summer thunderstorms possible. Respect the marked zones of the nautical base.
